Enjoy taking a look at the books I have authored and been published in, as well as what I'm working on at the moment.
Finding Your Professional Purpose: 10 Questions to a Fulfilling Career
This book helps you discover your professional purpose by introducing you to 10 powerful questions selected to help you re-think what work and fulfilment means to you. You’ll unpack each question in turn, learn from real life examples, and work through hands-on reflective exercises to come up with unique, radically honest answers.
You’ll write your own professional positioning statement succinctly expressing what you have discovered about your professional purpose, which you can use in seeking a new role, a new career, or introducing yourself with authenticity at your next networking event.
The Industrialisation of Arts Education
This book comprises the responses of a group of multi-disciplinary writers / researchers / practitioners to the proposition that arts education in the twenty-first century has become industrialised. The debates expose tensions of producing students who are ‘industry ready’ in an educational context that must, at the same time, consider other issues such as sustainability and widening participation.
My chapter, 'How do I feel about this? Reflections on the emotional experience of teaching in art education at a time of ecological collapse' examines personal journal entries as an example of the lived experience of educators at this moment in time.
Realigning Your Career
I am currently working on a self-help book to guide readers in realigning their career to their spiritual, ethical and philosophical values.
The content and exercises in this book are based on my years as a coach and a decade supporting young people in career choices.
